SWEET REMEDIES FOR THE COLD SEASON
This time honey and bee products are a reliable ally in the fight against frequent diseases of the cold season.
Syrup made of black radish and honey: wash a black radish well, cut the upper part as a small “lid”, hollow the core and fill with honey. Cover with the lid and leave it for 3-4 hours. Eat a teaspoonful three or four times a day.
For sore throat, for “breaking the cough” or for “red throat”, make a mixture of honey with propolis (5%), which is to be used after meals and especially in the evening before going to bed and try to avoid swallowing anything else afterwards. This “beebalm” must stay inside the throat as a protective coat and destroy the bacteria. Use it four or five times a day. Prepare it when you want to use it and make it of one teaspoonful of honey and 5-20 drops of tincture of propolis and mix it until it becomes homogeneous, or you can use the product already made: “Honey with Propolis”.
For young children and not only, they can have inhalations with Honey with propolis a few times a day, especially in the evening before going to bed. Put Honey with propolis (5%) in a special inhalator or boil some water in a small pan, turn the heat off and put Honey with propolis in the hot water and let the vapours come out into the room. Adults can have inhalations right above the vapours. The bee cocktail personalized according to the age and sex is another powerful ally of ours which invigorates our immunity system.
Syrup with warm milk against cold: mix a yolk of an egg with honey until you get some foam. Add hot milk gradually. Drink a cup a day with small sips.
Syrup with honey and lemon. Squeeze a lemon and mix it with 4 spoons of honey. Drink it with small sips throughout a whole day. Thus you can drink 2-3 lemons with honey a day.
